Speaking
Listen and Repeat: 7 short sentences (often with visual cues like pictures or maps). Listen once and repeat as accurately as possible.
Take an Interview: 3–4 interview-style questions on familiar or personal topics.
Writing
Three practical writing tasks:
Build a sentence by reordering scrambled words or phrases often from casual conversation context into a grammatically correct sentence.
Write an email response to a given a realistic situation or premises.
Write a response to a short online classroom discussion or forum post.
Scoring
Each of the four skills receives a band score from 1.0 to 6.0 in 0.5-point increments.
Overall score: Average of the four section scores, rounded to the nearest 0.5 band.
